The idea of the family-owned Pippi´s Summer hotel is the brainchild of Rein Soowik.

It was he who years ago gained the trust of Astrid Lindgren and started the theme park that we know today as Astrid Lindgren´s World. Soowik and his partners managed the original park for ten years until they sold it in 1990.
